Hello!! Welcome to my new blog. Here is my first post, as I reflect on the life God has given me, and encourage you to choose this life as well.
It is hard to express to people how incredibly blessed I feel in my life. It is the kind of life I wish everyone could live (but, of course, in their own, unique God-envisioned way). Every day I have so much hope, peace, and confidence in the God who loved me and made me for a good purpose. His love for me is as sure as the rising and setting of the sun.
You can be that sure of His love for you, too, dear heart.
I didn’t get here by some merit of my own. It is a life anyone and everyone can have access to. Jesus is calling, you, you, and yes–even you, to live a life of meaning and purpose. The life you never dreamed could be possible, but all things are possible through Him (Luke 1:37).
It is a life of choosing to reject complacent Christianity and go higher and deeper in the Lord. It is a life of deep submission, trust, and reverence for the Lord. It is a life of hungering after His kingdom and His righteousness.
It is a choice to have this life. Will you choose Jesus or your self?
“And he said to all, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.'” Luke 9:23
God always rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). And I MEAN rewards. There is no greater reward than feeling the pleasure of God after reaching out to a stranger with the gospel, feeling His sweet presence after pressing into deep prayer for awhile, and finding yourself surrounded by the most genuine, on fire believers you can hardly believe still exist in this wicked world.
It is a life of the most beautiful intimate relationship with the God who created you to long for so much more –adventure, intrigue, and romance–everything you could have ever wished for and even abundantly more than that. God always rewards those who diligently seek Him.
Will you give up all your pride, all your own understanding, all your fear, all your doubt, all your complacency, all your distractions, all your worldly temptations, to embrace the high and holy calling God has for you today?
I can tell you, Beloved, from the bottom of my heart, it so much more worth it than you can possibly imagine. Please come, journey with me, dear heart, and find rest for your soul.
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,” Eph. 3:20
“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,” Eph. 4:1
“…to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” Eph. 4:22-24
